After recently celebrating their first anniversary in business, Barossa Valley, gin distillery, Seppeltsfield Road Distillers’ have added a new achievement to their already large list of accolades – finalists in the 2019 South Australian Tourism Awards.
The South Australian Tourism Awards celebrate the very best of SA’s world-famous tours, products, festivals and events, and in 2019, has recognised Seppeltsfield Road Distillers for their unique experience and significant contribution to tourism.
Owner and Head Distiller, Nicole Durdin, said she was caught by surprise when she received the news.
“It is such a huge privilege to have our hard work recognised for all of its achievements since we opened our doors, a little more than 12 months ago,” said Mrs Durdin.
“And to be chosen, amongst a strong calibre of other finalists, really is such an honour on its own.
Proud to be amongst a select few, representing the Barossa Valley at the South Australian Tourism Awards Gala Dinner, Mrs Durdin hopes that they can bring some focus to the growing diversity among Barossa tourism offerings.
“From wine, gin & gourmet food through to chocolate, cosmetics, art and everything in-between, the Barossa Valley has so much to offer tourists to our region, and I hope this announcement of finalist brings attention to the fact.
One of 11 finalists in their category, in addition to being one of Seven Barossa Valley finalists, Seppeltsfield Road Distillers will need to wait until the Gala Dinner on Friday, November 8th to reveal if they are winners.
