Renowned globally for our award-winning gins, we're stirring up perceptions and reviving the classic cocktail staple with a new release, that sits alongside our gin range. The SRD Vermouth is a fresh, regional and seriously delicious product that’s set to stir up your at-home cocktail game.
Borne from a desire to craft the perfect Vermouth to pair with our world class gins, this isn’t just any fortified wine. Using premium Barossa Semillon grapes, we've crafted a wine-forward style Vermouth with fresh citrus and locally foraged wormwood.
The SRD crew have been using the product for months (prior to release) in their seasonal cocktail menu, with a Barossa Dry Martini and Barossa Shiraz Gin Negroni being the cocktails of choice.
According to Managing Director, Jon Durdin, SRD Vermouth is destined to be your new cocktail essential, but it’s also a refreshing drink on its own and plays nicely into the low alcohol category.
“We were at Vinexpo in Bordeaux when we tasted a regional and varietal-specific vermouth with our House Gin. It blew our minds. We knew we had to create our own,” said Jon.
"This release is all about celebrating regionality and showing that Barossa’s world-famous wines can shine in a non-wine approach.
“We love breathing life into new classics – and this release is the first step in challenging perceptions of ‘old’ drinks and making them new and popular again.”
Our next release is a single vineyard and single varietal Brandy – a product six years in the making that reflects their innovation for taking classic Barossa fruit, rewriting the script and crafting spirits that are fresh and fun, all while staying true to the region’s roots.
SRD Vermouth is available online and at the Tasting Room/Distillery. RRP $35 for 500ml, ABV 18.5%.
