Seppeltsfield Road Distillers is welcoming summer with the launch of two new tasting experiences designed to celebrate flavour, creativity and local collaboration in the heart of the Barossa.
Available now throughout the warmer months, the new Gin & Gelato Experience and Pickle Experience invite visitors to slow down, explore unexpected pairings and enjoy a fresh take on gin tasting, SRD style.
Crafted as a deeper dive beyond the traditional tasting flight, both experiences showcase four SRD gins thoughtfully paired with complementary flavours from local producers, highlighting balance, contrast and the versatility of gin across sweet and savoury profiles.
The Gin & Gelato Experience is a collaboration with Barossa gelateria Beans and Cream in Tanunda. This summer focused tasting pairs SRD gins with handcrafted gelato and sorbet, matched to enhance each gin’s botanicals and texture.
Guests will enjoy:
• House Gin paired with Tropical Pavlova gelato
• Savoury Allsorts Gin with Lemon Sorbet
• Barossa Shiraz Gin with Chocolate gelato
• Barossa Shiraz Gin Soda paired with Turkish Delight gelato.
Designed to be refreshing, playful and flavour forward, the experience offers a light hearted, yet refined way to explore gin during the warmer months.
For those who prefer something savoury, The Gin & Pickle Experience takes guests on a journey through taste and time, pairing SRD gins with pickles and preserves from four Barossa producers, each with their own family story and regional connection.
The tasting pairs:
• Zimmy’s Dill Cucumbers with Barossa Dry Gin
• Stone Wall Kitchen’s Tahitian Lime Pickle with Musician’s Cut Gin
• Krondorf Trading Co. Eggplant Pickle with Savoury Allsorts Gin
• Peach Chutney from Seppeltsfield with Barossa Semi-Gin.
The result is a bold and unexpected exploration of flavour, blending sweet with sour, spice with acidity, and crisp botanicals with rich, savoury textures.

“Summer is about keeping things fresh and interesting,” says SRD Customer Experience and Brand Manager Jordan Stollznow.
“These experiences allow us to showcase our gins in a different way, while collaborating with producers we genuinely admire and sharing stories that are deeply connected to the Barossa.”
Both the Gin & Gelato Experience and the Pickle Experience are priced at $35 per person and include four 15ml gin serves, served with ice and tonic and paired with their respective accompaniments.
The experiences are available now at Seppeltsfield Road Distillers throughout Summer.
