Meet the Fat-Washed Montegroni. A bold silky twist on a Negroni with more depth, beautiful mouthfeel and indulgence. Crafted with our Barossa Semi Gin, this fat-washed Negroni variation is a flavour forward experience thanks to the tropical fruit notes from Semi Gin, layered with bittersweet amaro and enriched with a velvety smooth finish thanks to the coconut oil fat wash.
Another negroni (yes, we love them), but elevated, SRD Barossa style.
Ingredients
30ml Coconut Fat Washed Semi Gin*
30ml SRD Vermouth
20ml Montenegro
Orange twist for garnish
Method
Add all ingredients to mixing glass full of ice.
Stir gently for 30 seconds.
Julep strain into glass.
Add garnish. Enjoy!
*Coconut Fat Washed Semi Gin (1:4 fat:gin ratio)
Combine 125ml coconut oil in liquid state (but not too hot) with 500ml Barossa Semi Gin in a jug. Stir. Cover and refrigerate overnight or at least until the fat has hardened. Remove hardened fat with spoon and discard. Pour into empty gin bottle. Use ASAP.
